Changing the Parent Goal

There may be a time when you need to change the alignment of one of your goals—in other words, shift it to a different parent goal. As a Manager or Individual Contributor, you can change this by editing your goal.

When you choose "Change Goal," you'll be asked to select a new goal. You'll first search for a manager or parent-goal owner and then select the appropriate goal.

Choosing "Save" will return you to the "Edit" form, which allows you to make any other changes and then "Request for Approval."

If you select "Remove Goal," you'll be requested to ensure that you want to proceed without a parent goal before you can "Request Approval."

Once the request is submitted, your goal will be in a "Pending Approval" state.

Your manager will be able to review the request, validate the new alignment, and approve it—or return the goal to you for further changes.
